Peplum shirts for spring/summer

Hey guys,

So today I'm going to talk about peplum shirts! I just ordered one from asos and I'll be definitely wearing them a whole lot more this spring and summer. I don't really care if it's still in fashion this season or not, but the fact that it's extremely flattering for my shape is important to me. I've got a smaller waist and some bigger hips , so these peplum tops are definitely a do for the girls with the same features! Here are some of my peplum favourites:

Deauty box january 2014 - unboxing

Hey guys,

So today I got my first deauty box in the mail. This box has the theme "deauty makes sense" and I'll tell you later on what's inside. If you want to see how the box looks like on the outside, definitely check out the website.deauty stands for discover beauty and that's also where these beautyboxes are all made for. You can test out products, you probably wouldn't try without this box.  Ps. for now this beautybox is exclusive in Belgium , but I'm sure in the US and other countries there are far more beautyboxes you can buy.

I got the monthly subscription , which you can quit each month. But you can also get a subscription for 3 months or even a whole year. But you can't terminate them during this period.

So now I'm going to give you an overview of the products, if you want a seperate review of any of them, let me know.

1. Plante system - lipbalm (with cameline oil) full size
I'm very excited about this lipbalm , because I'm having chapped lips lately. I'll definitely let you know if this product works or not.

2. Narciso Rodriguez - 'for her' eau de parfum 4ml

When I saw this perfume sample, I was definitely happy. We used to have this perfume and it smells so good. The normal size is quite expensive, so it's nice to have a decent sample of this in your box.

3. Rock beauty london - eyerock liner classic full size
These are some sticker eyeliners, I don't know what to think about this product. I've never ever used sticker eyeliners, so I'll see how this turns out when I'll try it.

4. Jean Marin - nailpolish full size
This bright orange nailpolish is the JM nail polish in the shade n°32 pick-me-up . I've already got some oranges in my nailpolish collection, but definitely no orange as bright as this one. It seems like a rather summery colour , but that's not a huge problem for me.

5. Avril - eyeshadow duo full size
I got this eyeshadow duo including the colours prune and lilas. I've swatched this colours and they turn out pretty pigmented for a rather budget eyeshadow. Maybe I'll do an eye look including this eyeshadow duo.

And last but not least I also got a 25% coupon code for the Jean Marin nailpolish. I like this coupon a lot and I'll probably use this too.

So overall I like the content of the box, but I'm a little bit restrained about the eyeliner stickers. But I'll tell you more about them if I do a review . The overall value of this box is 32 euros which is pretty decent, when you pay 15 euros for this box. But some of the previous boxes have a larger value than this one. I'm already excited for my february box and I'll keep you posted when I receive it.

Yves Saint Laurent makeup haul

Hey guys,

So today I went for a couple of makeup products from Yves Saint Laurent. I got tree things and got some of these products as an extra. If you want to know what I bought, I'll tell you under this picture.

First of all I bought the touche éclat corrector/highlighter in the shade 2. It's a highlighting concealer that's perfect to brighten your under eye circles.

The second product I bought was the poudre compacte radiance in the shade beige rose / pink beige (n°4). It's a mattifying setting powder perfect for setting your foundation and concealer. 

The thirth and last product I bought (it's actually for my mom) , was the forever youth liberator eye cream. This one is perfect for people who need an anti-wrinkle and lift treatement for under the eyes. 

So this were all the products I bought, but I was lucky today and got four little gifts with my purchase.

The first (two things) I got were the mascaras volume effet faux cils "babydol". I've heard from some people they liked this mascara , so I'm definitely excited to try these mascaras.

The next thing I got was the manifesto parfumed shower gel. It smells so delicious and it will fit perfectly in my shower routine. 

And last but not least I got a nice little makeup bag to put all this stuff in. It will definitely be useful for traveling.

Sensationails gel polish sarter kit - scarlett red

Hey guys,

So a couple weeks ago the Sensationail set I ordered, finally arrived! I'm so excited about it, so I'll explain this a little bit to the people who don't already know this set.

It's a gel polish starter kit for private use, that claims to stay on your nails for up to 2 weeks. This set comes with the colour scarlet red. And to remove the nails after 2 weeks I also bought the gel polish removal tool. This set retails for about 70 euros, but I bought it for only 53 euros on a belgian webstore and I also got a coupon to buy another gel nailpolish colour with a value of 15 euros. Below you can see a picture of this set and a list of the tools and polishes it comes with.

This set comes with :

- a nail file

- little wipes for the gel cleaner

- a cuticle pusher

- gel primer

- gel cleaner

- gel base & top coat

- a nailpolish in Scarlett Red

All these products in this set are meant to last you 10 manicures. If you run out of these products, you can buy an essential kit with the gel primer, cleaner and base & top coat. I also bought the gel polish remover to help removing the polish when necessary. Below you can see a picture of me wearing this polish, it's not perfect yet, but this will improve in time of course. Though it isn't really difficult to do this manicure, but it will take some time. So I definitely recommend this to anyone so far. This week also probably will be the second time I apply this gelpolish. Because of my exams this post went up a lot later than expected, so excuse me for that guys!

Benefit most glamorous nudes ever review (Sephora)

Hey guys,

So today I'm going to do a review of the benefit world famous neutrals palette for you! I've got the one with the "sexiest" nudes ever, but benefit also came out with the "easiest"and the "most glamorous" nudes ever. This palette contains eyeshadows only, so if you want to know more about this palette and see some swatches, definitely keep reading!

First of all I'm going to start of with the packaging. This packaging is so cute and practical as well! Benefit always comes with the most cute and useful packaging, this palette is no exeption on that rule! It comes with a little mirror as you can see and it also has two charts with eyelooks that you can recreate. They are very simple but very pretty though in my opinion.

Clutch ted baker - yes or no?

Today I was looking for a clutch for christmas and new year's eve on asos. This clutch from ted baker definitely stood out to me. Tell me if you like it and I should buy it or not?

Ted baker is a British clothing retail company for both women and guys! Ted baker has stores all over the world, they retail for example at Selfridges & co, a popular store in England. And they have outlet stores as well, so definitely keep your eyes open for them as well. This can save you a whole lot of money.

Hey girls,

Today I'm going to introduce you guys to my new favorite go-to-bag! It's a little cross body bag from Michael Kors

I've got it from my birthday and I'm sure I'll use it all the time! And I love it so much!

A little cross body bag will come in handy in each wardrobe. When you don't already own one, I advice you to buy one in black or brown, a neutral colour that matches almost each outfit. You can use this bag when you're going out, this bag will be a lot easier than a clutch.

Today I'm back with a post that's kind off "fashiontrend"-inspired. I went with a lot of black in my outfit because I saw a lot of black clothing in the stores lately. Back to school fashion - modemusthaves.com

Hey girls,

I know most of you are already going back too school, but for me it's only on the 23th of September. So I thougt I'd give you some fashion inspiration for your school outfits. I went with some very simple and comfortable fashion to be classy during all your classes. For my inspiration I went to http://www.modemusthaves.com/. It's an online shop where you can buy all the items that are trendy at this moment. They get new stuff regularly and they really stand out. Definitely check them out. And another advantage as well: their stuff is affordable.

So for this back to school inspiration board I picked out 7 essentials. They're appropriate for fall and winter and some of them will be pretty in summer too. 

The items I picked are:

1. leather pants - leather pants are a fashion musthave this fall! But if you don't like leather pants you can also go with some basic black pants or jeans.

2. scarf - Ofcourse I picked a scarf! Who can even live without a beautiful scarf in fall. In those cold days you can stay warm and fashionable at the same time girls! 

3. + 4. Now some accessories! The left piece is a nice snake bracelet, the right one is a gold watch to be in time for your classes.

5. Now over to this basic tee. This t-shirt will look nice with a cardigan and some black trousers or even a skirt.

6. The second top is this beige/white sweater with a heart. This will look pretty and it's comfortable as well for sure! 

7. And to end with here are some black ankle boots. They will go well with a skirt, pants or even a dress. And you will definitely use them a lot in my opinion.

Beautiful fall fashion colour : burgundy / wine colour

Hey guys,

This fall you'll see a lot of burgundy or wine coloured clothes. And guess what I'm in love with these colours! From pants to dresses, they're everywhere this fall and winter. For a couple of items from different stores and price ranges check out my pictures below.

To start with, here's a beautiful lace top from ted baker. Available from 129 pounds (+/- 150 euros). It's a beautiful lace top that would look pretty with some burgundy or black bottoms. Because this fall "simple is the new black" as they all say.

Now over to some pants who are more affordable in my opininon. I found these pants on topshop. They're sold for 49 euros. They look so pretty with some black boots and a white blouse or top. If you want these, go buy them at topshop.



And for our shoes, I went with some ankle booties from asos.com. They have a pretty small heel but if you prefer some comfortable shoes, you can definitely go with some burgundy sneakers or flat boots or flats or so.  ASOS (39 euros)





Now over to some chique clothing. For a less casual look I went for the ted baker dress who is colour blocked dress with some burgundy and black. Because of the black on the sides of the dress your waist will look a whole lot slimmer. This dress would look pretty with the previous shoes and the handbag I'll talk about next. ted baker (+/-190 euros)

And to end with here's my favourite pic. It's a perfect bowling kind of bag. It looks sofisticated and will go with a lot of clothes and will make any look stand out. It retailes for about 260 euros, which is quite expensive but definitely worth thinking about. ted baker

Fashion trends fall / winter 2013 - 2014

Sorry for my long silence on my blog, but I went to France for a couple of days and had not so much time and internet connection to post anything those days. My beautyblogger wishlisht

Hey guys,

As I was looking at a lot of different blogs of you guys and other beautybloggers, I saw there were a lot of wishlisht posts going on. So I thought I would join this upcoming trend. Below you can see which items I would love to have. Definitely let me know which items you wish for.

nr. 1 First of all I'm going to start off with my personal favourite, the Michael Kors Hamilton satchel in black with gold hardware. If you also like this bag, it's available on michaelkors.com and various Michael Kors stores.

nr. 2 Now over to some makeup products. The eyeshadow I really want at the moment is the creamy color tattoo from maybelline in pink gold. I recently bought the taupe version, so if you want a review on this product, please let me know.

nr. 3 I also want a new makeup brush set. It's the core set from Realtechnique brushes made by pixiewoo. I've heard they're real nice and soft brushes that apply well and aren't that expensive actually.

nr. 4 The third makeup product I'd like is the Chubby stick from clinique. I'm still not quite sure which colour I want. But if you have a favourite colour, definitely let me know!

nr. 5 Now over to the last makeup product: the L'Oreal Carbon Black Telescopic Precise Liquid Eyeliner in black. I didn't really read a lot of reviews on this product, but if you have tried this product out definitely let me kow!

nr. 6 And yes, we're already onto the last product. It's a necklace from j-crew, a supernice store in the USA and maybe also in other countrys?

Now over to the questions themselves.

Q: Name the beauty routine you barely do!
A: I barely do liquid eyeliner or other eyeliner. Me and the liquid eyeliner didn't always get along, but recently I started using it more often, but still not very frequently!

Q: Is washing your makeup brushes something you regularly do?
A: I wash my makeup brushes frequently, because I don't want breakouts from the bacterias or so from the brushes. With eyeshadowbrushes I like to do it even more often when I use different colours, otherwise they get mixed up. And I wouldn't want some purple eyeshadow on my lid when I'm doing a nude eye look.

Q: How long will you last with chipped nail varnish?
A: I like not to last my chipped nailpolish very long, because it doesn't look very clean. On lazy days the chance I don't remove my nailpolish is greater than on days when I have to go to certain events.

Q:  How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it (i.e. top coat, foundation etc)?
A: It depends on the product for me. When it comes to basic face products like bb cream or so, I'll replace it faster than nail polish products or eyeshadows or so. 

Q: What is your worst beauty habit?
My worst beauty habit is definitely forgetting to remove my makeup when coming home from a party or so. Recently I used more makeup wipes when I come home, but I should definitely use face wash when I come home from events.

Q: Name something non-beauty related you put off doing all the time?
I don't really have something in mind right now, but I'll definitely let you know when I think of something.

Q: When going out somewhere do you leave getting ready to the last minute or not?
Nope, I definitely don't do that. I like to start getting ready a couple hours before I have to leave. I do'nt really like to hurry, so I don't put this off. 

Q: Can you submit to spending bans?
I may do this for a couple of days, but a whole month or so won't happen.

Q: How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
My nailpolish collection is pretty organized, but there's still some work on my makeup collection. Next week I'll go to ikea to get some organization stuff to finally get my makeup organized. 

Q: What is the longest time you have gone without writing a blog post?
That's about a week since I went to a festival , where internet didn't really work. Otherwise I would have probably posted a post while I was gone.

Green eyemakeup look - shisheido

Hey guys,

As I already promised you all, I'm here with the eye makeuplook of my niece. It's a beautiful green eye look and if you want to recreate this one, you can find the products below.

In the inner corner of her eyes , she applied the shisheido eyeshadow in gr 708. In the outer corner she applied the shisheido eyeshadow in gr 707. She blended these colours well and applied a black eyeliner, who turned into a more green colour because of the eyeshadow. The eyeshadows are cream eyeshadows and very nice to apply.

These colours go really well with hazelnut eyes, I don't think they'll look as pretty with blue eyes. But I'm not sure of that. You guys could try it out and let me know what you think about it.

When you like this green look, let me know and I'll try to recreate this look with some drugstore eyeshadows.

ELF haul & first impressions review

Hey guys,

As I announced in my sneek peak earlier today, I've received my order from elf (eyeslipsface). Jeuj! I'm going to do a little haul and mini review or first impressions for you.

First of all I'm going to start with the product I was most excited about: the stippling brush. I'm going to use this brush for cream blush and foundation and I'm curious on how he'll work for me. This brush costs 4dollars and is a part of the studio line. When I tried it a couple of times and like it, I'll do a review on it sometimes.

Then over to another beauty tool: the ELF professional eyeshadow brush. And please guys don't take the name to serious, it's a one-dollar brush but I like my first impressions on it. It's a nice dense and soft brush. I'll probably be using this brush to applie my eyeshadow on the lid. It may work for highlighting beneath your eyebrows, but I'm not sure yet.


Now over to the face makeupproducts. First, I bought the ELF studio line blush (also 4 dollars) in the shade tickled pink. The colour looks pretty much the same as on the website, so I like that. The consistency seems nice as well. And I'll be glad to use this product and may include it in one of my next makeuplooks.  Ps. sorry for the photo, but my blogger couldn't make it stand the other way.

For my face I also bought a concealer: the elf corrective concealer. It comes in four shades: two beige shades for all imperfections, a green shade to cover up redness and a pinky shade to cover up your dark circles. I really like the concept of using different colours of concealer to make your skin flawless. I used a concealer palette like this in the past and I liked it, so I hope I'll like this one as well.




Now something about the waterproof eyeliners, I swatched here on my hand. The left one is the eyeliner in black and the right one is the eyeliner in coffee. They both cost 1 dollar , so I thought the consistency probably wouldn't be very nice, but I like it so far. Swatching them on my hand, they glide on smoothly and I do like both colors. The black liner is maybe more edgy and the brown one is definitely suitable for a neutral day look.

I didn't only get eyeliners, but also a pearl white eye widener. I bought this white eyepencil to brighten up my eyes and maybe highlight beneath my eyebrows. I tried it on my hand and it glided on properly as well, I think this pencil has a nice creamy texture, which is nice for the sensitive eye-area.

And to end with, I also bought the elf makeup mist & set, a setting spray for your face makeup. I really like the packaging and I hope it will make my makeup stay on a lot longer in summer. But except for this I can't really tell you anything else before trying this product out.

Sneek peak elf haul & preview

Hey guys,

Tuesday I ordered a couple of elf-products. For the people who don't know the brand yet: it's a more affordable makeupbrand that is available only online in the most parts of the world. But when you live in the States , I heard you can also buy it in some targets. If somebody knows where to get this brand in stores in your country, please let me know. ELF stands for eyes lips face and I heard a lot of people who were raving about this brand. But for me this will be the first experience with elf-products. 

When I'm saying this brand is affordable, I mean like really affordable! You've got three lines : the 1-dollar line, the studio line and the minerals line. I bought some products from the 1-dollar line and the studio line (3-4 dollars for most products). 

I'm going to test the products later this day, so stay tuned for little reviews and swatches of the products later today.

Outfit of the day 23th june - imperial

Hi guys,

As I already mentioned in my nail tutorial, I went out for dinner yesterday. So I thought it might be fun to show you my outfit of the evening. I'm not going to do a makeuplook, because my makeup wasn't that outgoing or so. But maybe I'm going to show you guys my niece's makeuplook because I loved it so much!

But first of all I'm going to show you my outfit I wore last night! I'm not going to mention the prices with my evening looks, because I don't want to brag about my clothes. I hope you guys get this ;d

Above you can see my outfit of the day. Some of you guys may find it kind of dark, but personally I really like black outfits in the evening. It gives you a kind of more classy look.

I'm sorry I couldn't find the brand of the cardigan, but I think you can wear any cardigan or blazer with this look. If you want a pop of colour in your look, you can totally wear a colourful blazer, but I personally prefer my black one.
