ELF haul & first impressions review

Hey guys,

As I announced in my sneek peak earlier today, I've received my order from elf (eyeslipsface). Jeuj! I'm going to do a little haul and mini review or first impressions for you.

First of all I'm going to start with the product I was most excited about: the stippling brush. I'm going to use this brush for cream blush and foundation and I'm curious on how he'll work for me. This brush costs 4dollars and is a part of the studio line. When I tried it a couple of times and like it, I'll do a review on it sometimes.

Then over to another beauty tool: the ELF professional eyeshadow brush. And please guys don't take the name to serious, it's a one-dollar brush but I like my first impressions on it. It's a nice dense and soft brush. I'll probably be using this brush to applie my eyeshadow on the lid. It may work for highlighting beneath your eyebrows, but I'm not sure yet.

Now over to the face makeupproducts. First, I bought the ELF studio line blush (also 4 dollars) in the shade tickled pink. The colour looks pretty much the same as on the website, so I like that. The consistency seems nice as well. And I'll be glad to use this product and may include it in one of my next makeuplooks.  Ps. sorry for the photo, but my blogger couldn't make it stand the other way.

For my face I also bought a concealer: the elf corrective concealer. It comes in four shades: two beige shades for all imperfections, a green shade to cover up redness and a pinky shade to cover up your dark circles. I really like the concept of using different colours of concealer to make your skin flawless. I used a concealer palette like this in the past and I liked it, so I hope I'll like this one as well.

Now something about the waterproof eyeliners, I swatched here on my hand. The left one is the eyeliner in black and the right one is the eyeliner in coffee. They both cost 1 dollar , so I thought the consistency probably wouldn't be very nice, but I like it so far. Swatching them on my hand, they glide on smoothly and I do like both colors. The black liner is maybe more edgy and the brown one is definitely suitable for a neutral day look.

I didn't only get eyeliners, but also a pearl white eye widener. I bought this white eyepencil to brighten up my eyes and maybe highlight beneath my eyebrows. I tried it on my hand and it glided on properly as well, I think this pencil has a nice creamy texture, which is nice for the sensitive eye-area.

And to end with, I also bought the elf makeup mist & set, a setting spray for your face makeup. I really like the packaging and I hope it will make my makeup stay on a lot longer in summer. But except for this I can't really tell you anything else before trying this product out.

xx

Hope you guys enjoyed my little haul and when you want me to do a whole review on a specific product , please let me know in the comments.

Sneek peak elf haul & preview

Hey guys,

Tuesday I ordered a couple of elf-products. For the people who don't know the brand yet: it's a more affordable makeupbrand that is available only online in the most parts of the world. But when you live in the States , I heard you can also buy it in some targets. If somebody knows where to get this brand in stores in your country, please let me know. ELF stands for eyes lips face and I heard a lot of people who were raving about this brand. But for me this will be the first experience with elf-products.

When I'm saying this brand is affordable, I mean like really affordable! You've got three lines : the 1-dollar line, the studio line and the minerals line. I bought some products from the 1-dollar line and the studio line (3-4 dollars for most products).

I'm going to test the products later this day, so stay tuned for little reviews and swatches of the products later today.

Hope you guys are excited as well for the reviews. When you want me to do a review of a product you want to try or so, please let me know.

xx

Outfit of the day 23th june - imperial

Hi guys,

As I already mentioned in my nail tutorial, I went out for dinner yesterday. So I thought it might be fun to show you my outfit of the evening. I'm not going to do a makeuplook, because my makeup wasn't that outgoing or so. But maybe I'm going to show you guys my niece's makeuplook because I loved it so much!

But first of all I'm going to show you my outfit I wore last night! I'm not going to mention the prices with my evening looks, because I don't want to brag about my clothes. I hope you guys get this ;d

Above you can see my outfit of the day. Some of you guys may find it kind of dark, but personally I really like black outfits in the evening. It gives you a kind of more classy look.

For all the people who love this look, you can find the brands of all my clothes below:

black peplum dress - imperial
little cardigan - unknown
handbag - Nicky Vankets
nude shoes - Catherine H.

I'm sorry I couldn't find the brand of the cardigan, but I think you can wear any cardigan or blazer with this look. If you want a pop of colour in your look, you can totally wear a colourful blazer, but I personally prefer my black one.

Thanks a lot for reading my blog! I'm so amazed by the amount of viewers that already came by my blog. You have to know that I really really really appreciate you all guys!

Ps. There will be a makeup look or outfit of the day up by tomorrow. <3

Nail tutorial for short nails: Sparkly ombre nails

Hi guys,

Because I've got some dinner to go to tonight, I thought I'd do a nail tutorial for you today. This nail tutorial isn't that difficult, but it gives you a more glamorous look though. If you want your nails to look sparkly and kind of ombre like mine. Please follow the following steps.

First of all we start with a base coat. I used an essence base coat, but you can use any base coat you want.

Then I used essie's buy me a cameo as base colour for my whole nail. I applied two coats, but if you don't have this colour you can use a similar nailpolish or a totally different colour.

Here on the left you can see how it looks like so far. But if you're more into bright colours, you can use any other you like. It's all up to you!

Afther this colour I applied the golden sparkly colour goldeneye of the James Bond OPI-collection on 2/3th of my nail. After this step I painted the first 1/3th of my nails again with this colour to achieve an ombre effect. I didn't take another picture of this step, but you can see the result of this step in the first picture.

And the last step is ofcourse the topcoat. I used a catrice topcoat, but you can use any topcoat that works for you and that is available in your local drugstore.

So here on the left you can see the final result!

I hope you like it , but for the people who aren't that into sparkly nailpolish, I'll do a matte nailtutorial later on.

Thanks for reading my blog guys!

Hair care for curly frizzy hair

Hi guys,

As you may have already noticed I've got some curly hair going on. I've struggled for a long time to decide which products to get for my frizzy hair, but I finnally found a routine that works for me at the moment. It's a combination between hairdresser products and some drugstore products.

When you've got curly hair like me or you're just interested in my hair routine, please keep reading ;). I've got pretty dry hair, so all these products are made for dry or damaged hair. So if you've got normal to oily hair, I wouldn't recommend to use the following products. But I truly support the follwing brands though, so you guys should certainly check out these brands!

First of all I'm going to talk to you guys about my shampoo. The shampoo I've been using for the last months is the BED HEAD HI-def curls shampoo (27 dollars- 25fl.oz.). My hairdresser recommended me this product and I'm totally in love with this big guy.

After my shampoo I use a conditioner or hair mask, I don't do both because my hair tends to get greasy faster when I do so. But because my conditioner often changes , I'll talk to you about my favourite hair mask: ultra doux à la mango for dry and damaged hair (6 dollars - 10fl.oz.). I let it set for about 5 minutes , so it can soak into my hair better.

These are all the things I do in the shower, but when my hair is towel dry I use te Weho curl cream from Vitelity's (10 dollars - 5 fl.oz.). When I notice my hair is still dry after this product, I'll also use the BED HEAD foxy curls contour cream (17 dollars - 6.76 fl.oz.).

So guys, this was my hair routine. If you find some products too expensive or you just don't like them you can always change them by some other products. But one tip for the girls with dry or curly frizzy hair, ALWAYS buy the products for dry and damaged hair or for curly hair.

Thanks for reading

Philosophy purity made simple cleanser review

Hi guys,

Today I'm going to do a little review on the philosophy purity cleanser. I've received a sample (30ml / 1 fl. oz.)  from the product about eight months ago in the sephora store in NY. As it often goes with me and samples, it has been laying unopened in my drawer for months. Until I saw many people raving about it a few weeks ago, I finally started using it, jeuj!

Although it also says to remove makeup of your face, I'll advice you to use a makeupremover with it, especially for your eyes. Though it does cleanse your face extremely well. (I haven't had breakouts with it ;d)

When it comes to face cleansers I often find them very drying and harsh, but this one opened a new world for me. Even before applying your moisturizer, it does moisturize your skin. When you have dryer skin , I would certainly recommend you to apply some moisturizer though! And also for the ones out there with combination to oily skin like me : moisturizer slows your aging process. So it never hurts to put some moisturizer on your skin guys ;)

And guys, I also know that this product isn't cheap. It varies from 10 dollars up to 50 dollars. But if you just want to test this one out, you can buy a 10 dollar bottle or ask for a sample in your local sephora or Ici paris XL (Belgium).

Conclusion :

It's one of the best face cleanser I've ever used and I'll certainly buy this one again. Though it probably isn't that affordable as the drugstore ones or so, I would totally recommend you guys to buy this product. For me this product certainly deserves a 9/10. If you guys have a different favourite product, definitely tell me.

Ps. I've got oily to combination skin, so for the people with dry skin, you may have different thoughts about this product ;)

(Eye) Make up look - too faced romantic eye palette

Hi guys,

Today I've created a rather simple make up look with the too faced romantic eye palette. Below you can see the results and I'll also describe the steps I followed to create this look.

face
For my face I used the erborian BB creme in the shade "Clair" and the makeupforever concealer in shade "6". And for blush I used benefit bellabamba.

eyes

For my eyes I obviously used the too faced romantic palette. I started with "Kiss the bride" as a base on my moving lid. Next I used some "Ever after" in my crease to create some dept. To finish of with eyeshadow I also used "Bouquet Toss" to highlight and I also used it in my inner eye corner to light up my eyes.
After these steps I also applied some mascara -maybelline falsies mascara- and some eyepencil -l'oréal contour kôhl in black-.

lips
Because I accentuated my eyes, I kept it simple with the lips. I used the rimmel Lasting finish by Kate in number 3.

Thanks a lot for reading my post!
Hope you liked it

Top 5 nailpolish favourites for the summer

Hi guys , today I'm going to show you my 5 favourite nailpolishes of the moment. In this top there are some drugstore brands and some brands that are a little more expensive. These are my favourites of the moment, but there's a huge chance, they'll be different in a month or so.

#1 OPI - teal the cows come home

To start off, here's a beautiful shiny blue from OPI. OPI is an amazing nail polish brand. This product retailes for about 13 dollars.

#2 Catrice - AcidDC

Now over to a beautiful lime green color. This color from Catrice is maybe only available in Belgium and the Netherlands, but I'm not quite sure about that. It retailes for about 4 dollars.

#3 Kiko - 332

Here he is, my beautiful light purple nailpolish. I'm not sure about the price, but it will be around 5 dollars or so. Let me know if you know the exact price, thanks a lot!

#4 OPI - Goldeneye (James Bond Collection)

Here is my alltime favourite for some awesome party's. It's a beautiful golden glitter polish. Hmm I'm so in love with this one! It also retailes for 13 dollars.

#5 NYC - Faithful Fuschia

And to end with, there is a beautiful fuschia. Fuschia is a basic color that can't be missing in your nailpolish collection. This one is very affordable, but holds very well. It retailes for 3 dollars.

Today I showed you pictures of the nailpolishes, but if you want some nail swatches, I'll ad them to this post in a while.

Thanks a lot for reading!

Love you all

Make up forever HD concealer vs. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Hi guys,

Make up forever HD concealer
Today I'm going to do a review about the Make up forever HD concealer and the Maybelline instant age rewind concealer. These are my two favourite concealers of the moment. Below you can see the pictures of the package of both concealers.

Maybelline instant age rewind concealer

packaging

When it comes to packaging I have to admit that the Maybelline concealer is a little bit more appealing than the Make up forever one. Its red detailing and the innovative apllication tip do attract people. The Make up forever concealer has a simpler look, but that doesn't bother me. When it comes to concealers , the appearence isn't that important to me.

coverage

Now something about the coverage, the most important feature for concealers. In this regard the make up forever concealer does take a lead for me. It has a full coverage and covers both red spots and dark circles. The Maybelline one doesn't really covers as much, but it does have a pretty good medium coverage.

application

When we're talking about the consistency, they're both smooth to apply. The way the product comes out, is different though. The make up forever concealer is a simple tube, the Maybelline one does come with a sort of spongy application tip. I'm happy about both of them, but I think you will lose some product at the end of using the Maybelline one , because of its hard packaging.

price-quality

Then over to the price range. This does differ a lot. The Maybelline one is available for about 15 dollars or so, the make up forever one is situated in a higher price-range and costst about 30 dollars. But if you want a decent concealer the 30 dollars are certainly worth spending. But an other advantage that comes with the make up forever one is the color range. The maybelline one has only two colours at the moment and the make up forever one comes in more than ten shades.

overall score

Now over to my overall score. Maybe you've already noticed that the make up forever one is my alltime favourite of the two. So I'll give it a 9/10.

The Maybelline one is pretty good as well, but if you have a rather oily skin, it doesn't give the perfect coverage for your blemishes. So this one gets a 8/10 from me.

Well, this is my opinion about these products and it may change over time. But remember that these opinions are personal. Because everyone's skin is different.

Thanks for reading my opinion

Cutest affordable phone cases everrr!

Hi guys,
Because today is my first day at my blog, I'd think I'd write some different blogposts to keep y'all interested. First of all I'm going to tell you about my favourite website for phone cases: MINI IN THE BOX!

Today I got a package delivered with the one I ordered, but I'll also show you some other favorites of mine. The nice thing about this website is that they have a wide range of phone cases  for all kinds of phones. Other websites are often limited on their choice for non-Iphones.

The one I've bought for the iphone 4S is in the same style as the piggy one above, but in baby blue. I'm totally in love with this one! Btw it's also available for the iphone 5 and for example the galaxy S2 etcetera.

The other two below, don't belong to me but caught my eye immediately! They're so pretty. The left one has a very girly and floral print. The right one is a little bit tougher. It's really cool and if you didn't even noticed it yet, it's based on Paul Smith, our famous designer.

So if you guys would love a beautiful phonecase, miniinthebox.com is definitely  the place to be!

Nice fact: They're super affordable and it's free shipping!

Love
